Eigene (Land)Karten erstellen

Mit ArcGIS Explorer ist es möglich eigene Landkarten und thematische Karten zu erstellen. Ist um einiges mächtiger als Google Earth und ebenfalls kostenlos. Theoretisch besteht auch die Möglichkeit die Anwendung selber zu erweitern mit .Net Plugins (es gibt ein kostenloses SDK).

Microsoft Wave

Microsoft hat wohl das Gefühl sie müssen sich auch als innovativ darstellen (was sie in meinen Augen ja auch sind….), so wie das Apple und Google gern machen.

Auf der Seite Microsoft Wave (http://www.microsoft.com/uk/wave/home.aspx) werden diverse Projekte und Initiativen von Microsoft vorgestellt welche wohl in diesen Bereich fallen (u.a. Photosynth, Live Mesh, Project Natal).

Ist eigentlich nichts neues drunter – das meiste sind ja Microsoft Research Projekte. Aber dafür schön aufbereitet und alles an einem Ort, so dass auch Otto Normalverbraucher damit umgehen kann.

Juhuu, ich fliege zum Mars

Die Nasa hat aktuell gerade eine Aktion wo man sich eintragen kann, worauf man mit anderen auf einen Microchip eingetragen wird welcher dann auf den Mars mitfliegt….
