  • From the introduction:

    The recent economic recession has a lot of people worried, about their jobs, their businesses, their homes and their bills. When your income is dropping or in jeopardy and you still have a mountain of bills to pay, things can get pretty scary.

    However, tough economic times do not have to be a time of struggles! If you look for the opportunity in the middle of difficulty, as Mr. Einstein suggested, then tough economic times become an opportunity to transform your life.

  • Recently Code Project started a beginners walkthrough for web development, an initiative for organizing all the information required for web development under one article. I think it will be helpful for beginners to get guidelines for web development. This article is my contribution to the ASP.NET section where I describe the state management techniques and best practices used when developing with ASP.NET.

    Guide to making SharePoint XHTML Compliant
    by Zac Smith, 19-Apr-07, 21 Comments

    This is intended as a pretty high level overview of how you can get MOSS to validate against the W3C XHTML 1.0 recommendation. The aim of this article is not to explain every intricate detail of getting a MOSS site to be XHTML compliant. However it should demonstrate some techniques to get people started and eventually develop better methods of achieving compliance.

  • Screen Architect is a prototyping tool specifically developed to allow rapid prototyping of user interfaces.

    Screen Architect is a plug-in to the popular UML CASE tool Enterprise Architect allowing traceability between screen elements and the underlying analysis model.

    It has easy to use functionality, seamless integration with Enterprise Architect and offers great value for money.

  • A few years ago I had the opportunity to sit down with a designer possessed of a rare talent. We were both part of the same team and he was creating some UI elements that I was to wire up. As I sat there (in awe) watching him work I realized that much of his considerable skill was rooted in fundamentals not unlike the art of programming. Of course, there are design skills that are intuitive that can’t be „learned.“ But, that can also be said of the logical clarity found in a really elegant data model or a brilliant inheritance tree. I am certainly no designer, but I have observed the more creative among us for several years and have gained some insight into their world. In this article I’ll share some basic principles that can help raise your design acumen and improve the experience of your users.

  • I keep getting sandbagged by folks on the topic of the SharePoint Central Administration (SPCA) application, and there is still considerable confusion about how SPCA should be best deployed within a farm topology, how to make it “Highly Available” and “Secure”. Most of the queries are around what I do in my deployments and what recommendations I have for SPCA. Therefore this article covers these topics along with some additional discussion and general recommendations.

Initiative "Clean Code Developer"

Gespeichert unter: Uncategorized — by murratore @ 9:44

  • sIFR 2.0: Rich Accessible Typography for the Masses

    sIFR is meant to replace short passages of plain browser text with text rendered in your typeface of choice, regardless of whether or not your users have that font installed on their systems. It accomplishes this by using a combination of javascript, CSS, and Flash.

  • Server2Go is a Webserver that runs out of the box without any installation and on write protected media. This means that web applications based on Server2Go can be used directly from cdrom, a usb stick or from any folder on a hard disk without the hassle of configuring Apache, PHP or MySQL.
    Server2Go allows you to create a standalone working web site or PHP application on a CD-ROM. There are many examples of its possible useses such as catalogue software, calculation programmes, image campaigns (CMS-based), computer based training lessons or other applicatons. Most PHP-Software such as the content management system Joomla or the computer based training software Moodle can be used from CD-ROM with the help of Server2Go.

    Server2Go was developed in the first instance for use on CD-ROM but there is no problem in using it from other drives too. Using a web browser, a user can run php programs as well as view html files on the CD-ROM. He only needs to insert a CD with Server2Go. The server software starts automatically and a browser is opened with the Website of the CD-ROM.
    Server2Go was built in the first place to replace other CD-ROM webservers such as WampOnCD or Microweb that lacked some important features or are not being actively developed.
    Main Features

    * Free! No royalties
    * Complete WAMPP Server-Stack
    * Runs directly from CD-ROM, USB Stick or Hard disk without installation
    * Full featured webserver (based on apache)
    * PHP 5.x support with many extensions installed (e.g. gd)
    * Supports SQLite databases
    * Runs on all versions of Windows from Win 98 and above, MAC OSX support is coming
    * Support for MySQL 5 Databases
    * Supports many PHP extensions (GD-Lib, PDO…) by default
    * Support for Perl 5.8

Einführung ins Spring Framework

Gespeichert unter: Uncategorized — by murratore @ 1:28

http://www.springframework.net/

http://www.knurt.de/download/Spring2FuerGruenschnaebel.pdf
